This is a yummy substitute for store-bought Italian Dressing.
Italian Vinaigrette Dressing
1 Tablespoon garlic salt
1 Tablespoon finely minced garlic (3 cloves)
1 Tablespoon onion powder
1 Tablespoon white sugar
3 Tablespoon honey or corn syrup
2 Tablespoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 Tablespoon dried parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
Mix everything together in a large bowl. Whisk in 1 cup white vinegar, 3/4 cup oil, 1/4 cup water. Store in a sealed container (I use old spaghetti jars...) in the refrigerator. Allow to marinate overnight. Shake before using. Great on pasta salads and green salads or marinate chicken breasts.
Yummy!
